My Prayer for Church

Updated: 6 hours ago

I began attending my Church located Boston in 2007. Through the church’s discipleship programs, various ministry activities, and small-group life, I was able to grow as a lay minister - small group leader and ministry team leader. However, as conflicts and divisions arose surrounding church leadership, and as various personal and family hardships unfolded at the time, I eventually had to step away from the church for a season.

By the grace of God, I was led back to my Church, and step by step the Lord restored me and allowed me to stand again as a lay minister. Now that I have returned to the community, the posture of my heart has been completely renewed. I no longer look to people, but serve with a heart that seeks only God.

I hold firmly to the truth that the church does not belong to any person, but that it is the Lord’s church and Jesus alone is its head. I strive to keep this as my highest priority and continually examine myself so that I do not lose this focus. For this reason, I pray continually that I would never interfere with, or become an obstacle to, the work of the Lord, but that my heart and my ministry may be wholly devoted to Him.

I will continue to pray and walk faithfully in the place God has entrusted to me, seeking to serve with humility and to become a worker who brings joy to the Lord.
